At Integrated Design Studio, our Landscape Architecture projects range in scale and scope from garden design, to residential master planning, to large scale planning for residential, resort, and commercial developments. At any scale, we provide specialized focus attention to both the aesthetics and livability of the built environment.
We strive to create spaces that are both functional beautiful. Homeowners looking for a facelift for their existing yards find our thoughtful, personal touch helps bring their custom vision to life. Mammoth Specialty Lodging
Mammoth Lakes, CAIDS designed the landscape for this contemporary hotel by the base village at Mammoth Mountain. Project highlights include a well-appointed rooftop pool terrace and a finely-detailed entry plaza, designed to continue the modern lines of the building. The design reduces the need for grading and site engineering through a set of nature-inspired stacked boulder walls.
Strawberry Residence
Marin County, CAThis garden rehabilitation has redefined the 3,000 square foot garden at the entrance to a contemporary home. A custom gate and large water feature with basalt water weirs frame views of the house, defining the entry experience. Natural stone paving is designed to extend the home's design theme out into the garden. Large planting areas feature places for the owner to garden, while minimizing intrusion by deer.
MacKinnon Residence
San Rafael, CAIDS prepared and built the landscape master plan for the rear portion of this midcentury California home. Our design creates active, usable outdoor spaces including a pool-side terrace and outdoor kitchen/entertainment area. Design cues and materials strengthen the relationship of the landscape to the home.
IDS Outdoor Design Center
Mill Valley, CAIDS Outdoor Design Center showcases our custom landscape design and construction capabilities. The design establishes a unified space while capturing a mix of styles, colors, textures and materials to spark creativity and generate a dialogue between homeowners, designers and suppliers.
Wheeler Zamaroni Design Center
Santa Rosa, CAModeled on the IDS Outdoor Design Center, this sister venue in Santa Rosa showcases quality landscape materials, finishes and accessories. The design links a series of themed outdoor 'rooms', which feature a wide variety of materials expressed in a range of styles.
Fairchild Residence
San Anselmo, CAThis garden master plan design/build is for a remodeled home in San Anselmo. The design focuses on different 'rooms' that reflect both the traditional exterior and modern interior of the home. The project includes a large lawn area for play, new fence and hedge for privacy and screening from the street, new gate with overhead structure to create a point of arrival, and a hot tub 'getaway.'

'Chutes and Ladders' (Hillside Residence)
Corte Madera CAMaster Plan and construction documentation for newly rehabilitated residential garden perched below the top of the Corte Madera ridge. Project included a sportcourt, hot tub terrace, entertainment deck, trellis structures, lighting and planting plans.
Hudson Residence
Stinson Beach CAMaster plan for beach house including outdoor entertaining areas, amended planting, lighting and container placement/planting.
Bentley Residence
Stinson Beach CASite restoration plans for outdoor seating areas, pathways, and beachside plantings.
